Matthew Turns 3 !

Meet the Supers !
Matthew turned 3 this past Saturday and in our house, he IS Batman. He has also started to referring to Shawn as Super man and me Soup or Gurl lol I assume he mean's Super Girl. My Fabulous Sister in Love (Chelsey) decided to make Matthew a Batman cape sense the one he had been wearing around was a ratty piece of material from one of the girls old costumes. She decided to go ahead and make the rest of the family SUPER as well ! She did an Awesome Job and I LOVE our Super family photo's !

Bat Matt and Soup Or Girl !

When Brooke was 5, My mom bought her a Power Wheels Barbie Jeep for her birthday. She and Katie had a ton of fun with it, and eventually the battery gave out and the girls outgrew it, but I hung onto it because I always thought (if we ever have a little boy, we can redo it) So I brought the idea up to Shawn and he said he wanted to be the one who did it for him. Needless to say, Matthew was thrilled. We recently moved into Shawn's parent's house and it has so much more land. Matthew will loved driving his jeep out to the barn to see Papa and rescuing his sisters in the Bat mobil !

He kept making his face each time to took off !

I ordered his Batman decorations on Birthdayinabox.com and then I cut out the Gotham City skyline with poster board and bought some of those tiny yellow post it's to make the window's. It turned out SUPER cute ! Also I made a small skyline to go around the cake and it just happened to fit in the ridge of the cake pan ... LOVE when things just work out that way !

Super Nona, Super Papa and Super Nate !

Katie was enjoying a Batwich - Very Tasty !

Even BatJewel made her appearance

He LOVES the Sunglasses with Bats on them

Nona and Papa got him a REAL Bat Mask !

He has been drinking from this cup each day since

We had some major issues with our pinata and the wind. We ended up having to duct tape it together and on the first hit, candy started to fall. So Shawn ended up just shaking it out.

Batwiches - YUM !

A little Joker Juice : )
Or how about some Two face Cookies ?

Brooke Turns 8 !

Brooke's Party this year was FROZEN themed.
Who else's girls are as into Frozen as mine ?!
Personally I LOVE the movie, the music, the whole shebang and
as far as a birthday party goes, it was pretty easy to do.
My Sister in Law made the cake as she has for all of our parties in the past several years.
Also this year she made both my girls Elsa dresses. It was extremely hard to find the official
DISNEY dress, and after she made these, I was more then Pleased !

Brooke as Elsa from Frozen !

My oldest daughter Brooke turns 8 this week and she is having a Frozen Theme birthday.

Her only request was a frozen cape, so I found these awesome fabrics at Jo Anns and my truly talented sister in law was kind enough to make this dress for her. I'm truly amazed at how great it turned out. I had searched all over the internet for the official disney dress and was unable to find one for less than 500 dollars ! It makes me sick because I saw it in JC penny just a couple months before. Anyway my daughter is in love with her dress and said she likes it even better than the official dress cause she didn't want a poofy dress ! So it all worked out !

This is a close up of the bodice. We used a dance leotard as the body, then the dark blue material has some stretch to it. My sis in law attached it right under the arms so it hangs down over the leotard. The overlay fabric is irradecent blue, they had a silver, but the blue was perfect. The snowflake embellishment is a button.

The back is a blue and silver mesh. I found these smaller snowflake buttons at Walmart. I glued them all over the cape and glued a few to bobby pins to put in her braid

This is actually a ring I found at Jo Anns, it's adjustable and easily wraps around her hair tie.

Needless to say, she's a happy girl. Can't wait for her party on Saturday !
